A letter from the director

It is necessary to realize that post-secondary education and experience has to become a parallel factor to gain a competitive advantage on the job market in the 21st century." After graduating from college, I found myself on the job market with two degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and a Masters in Business Administration. My educational background was complimented with two years of internship experience. During my job search the education/experience combination was not sufficient in obtaining a position that required a Master's degree because there I lacked experience. As I was confronted with these many obstacles, I discovered an opportunity to creatively make a positive impact on my circumstance, and to help those who faced similar obstacles. "Faith is the key to all of life's challenges.dream the undreamable and think the impossible." In 2001, I decided to dedicate myself to the advancement of all minority students, women, and students with disABILITIES in internship opportunities, through the successful establishment of the WrightChoice Intern Program, Inc.(WCIP) Knowing from personal experience, the importance of obtaining internships while in school, I have designed WCIP to be committed to recruiting, developing, and linking tomorrow's workforce with today's opportunities. We are Building a Bridge Between Resource & Opportunity." Our program has a special emphasis on the employment of college students with disABILITIES in internship opportunities. It is my goal to increase the number of degreed students with disABILITIES in the workforce.
